Hello again,

We are trying something a little different for the Christmas party to figure out who brings what for dinner. If your last name begins with a letter between A-M please bring a side item; if your last name begins with a letter between N-Z please bring a dessert. Thank you all for your help in this!!

We are having our annual Christmas party this year and it will be more fun than ever. We are meeting at the church at 5:00 and will start with dinner. If you can bring something, please contact Brent (812-455-6112 or brentpgriffin1984@gmail.com). We do ask for you to bring drinks for your family.

After dinner, we will have our white elephant/bad Santa gift exchange. We are asking every family to bring one present. If you are not familiar with the game, the present should be something funny, awesome, or just something you want to get out of your house. Bring that present WRAPPED and let’s hope you do not end up taking it back home. The rules will be explained before we play.

A few important things to note:
1. The Christmas party is this Sunday, December 15, at 5:00.
2. Bring drinks for your family and contact Brent if you can bring food.
3. Bring one wrapped present for your family.

We are looking forward to it and are sure you are too. See you on Sunday.

Hello church family,

This is one last reminder that any presents you want to donate to the Affordable Christmas program need to be in this Sunday. Once again, the Dream Center asks for these presents to be in the $25-$50 range. You are to bring them not wrapped.  If you want help in knowing what to buy, click here for the Amazon wishlist the Dream Center created (you won’t have time to get anything shipped but the wishlist would give you ideas to go to a store to buy something). We have another reason to praise the Lord. Lauren Warfel went into labor on Wednesday and gave birth to their son Weston. Both mom and baby are doing great. As we all know, having a newborn is certainly enough but Lance and Lauren are also moving into their new house in a couple weeks. A meal would a be huge blessing to them so please click here to sign up for the meal train.

We wanted to remind you that we have a members meeting after church this Sunday. It will begin shortly after service and should last no longer than 45 minutes. We will be discussing and voting on the proposed budget for 2025 and also re-electing elder Scott Cordts to another 3 year term on the elder board. We trust all of our members will make this a priority to attend.

Hello Church Family,

As you have heard for a few weeks now, we are partnering with the Dream Center in their Affordable Christmas again this year. Many of you are probably familiar with how this works but I wanted to give you a rundown of the process:

1. You all buy presents and bring them to church. The presents are to be in the $25-$50 range. If you want help in knowing what to buy, click here for the Amazon wishlist the Dream Center created. You might want to wait till Black Friday or Cyber Monday to find good deals.
2. Feel free to bring presents to the church anytime but they are due on Sunday, December 8. Then we will deliver the presents to the Dream Center.
3. After that, the Dream Center invites the residents of the Jacobsville area to come shopping (for a map of Jacobsville, click here). All gifts are $2. The Dream Center wants everyone to know this is not a handout but a blessing to these families.
4. Please continue to pray through the Christmas season that the child who receives your present and the parents who bought it would listen and receive the Gospel message given by the Dream Center.

The most important part here is the presents need to be at the church by Sunday, December 8.

We want to remind you about the Cornhole Tournament this Sunday, November 17. We will start at 4:00. If you haven’t yet, please text Matt Lovell your 2 person team. His number is 812.598.9964.

There are couple things you will need to bring:

1. Drinks for your family. Dinner will be provided.
2. Weather permitting, we will do at least some of the cornhole tournament outside so please come with appropriate warm clothing.

If you do not want to play, we hope you still come to be with your church family. We love our time with all of you!!

Join Family Bible Church for an evening of fun and fellowship on Sunday, Nov 17th for a Cornhole Tournament.

Tournament will start at 4pm.  Plan to eat around 5pm.  The tournament will be double elimination so every team will be guaranteed two games. 

Please text your 2 person Cornhole team to Matt Lovell @ 812.598.9964. There will also be a team sign-up sheet at church on the 17th as well. 

We will be having soup and salad for dinner. Please text Brent @ 812.455.6112 if you can bring something.

The FBC ladies invite you to join them next Tuesday, November 12th for dinner and a movie.  They will meet at GD Ritzy’s (4320 N First Ave) at 5:30 pm for dinner and then attend the 6:50 pm showing of “The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever” at Showplace North (4200 N 3rd Ave).  Tuesday night movies at this theatre are $5. The movie is an adaptation of a popular Christmas novel that you may enjoy reading to your kids, grandkids or a quick read for yourself.  Please use the contact us link or text Brenda Kerr to RSVP. Hope you can join them to kick off the holiday season and spend some time together!

We wanted to remind you that Daylight Savings Time is this weekend. As the saying goes, “Spring forward and fall back.” This means we will gain an hour on Saturday night.
