Nursing/Feeding Room

Hello all,

We wanted to make you aware of one change in our church building. The old nursery (by the bathrooms) is being changed to a nursing/feeding room for babies. This room will be for MOTHERS AND BABIES ONLY. Feel free to ask an elder any questions you might have.

A Tough Call

Dear Family,

What seemed a very difficult decision to make at the time turned out to be a no-brainer. At 4:15PM today I thought a smallish thunderstorm might pass quickly and leave a window in the weather for us to hold the Runner’s Camp track meet. I left the church as the rain started and planned to pick up a few items at home on the way to open the stadium. 10 minutes later I missed the turn onto Hillsdale Rd. because it was raining so hard I couldn’t see it. By 4:45 I was starting to get messages from volunteers who were having to turn around on the way to the stadium because of flooded roads. It became clear that I needed to cancel the track meet. As it turned out, I wouldn’t have gotten there anyway because our neighborhood roads were impassable from the flooding for over an hour.

I hated making the decision to cancel. The track meet is always a highlight and provides a great way to close out camp. It was still a great week. As always, I was so pleased by the service of our volunteer team. Thank you for your hard work and your great attitudes.

However, we still have a fair amount of equipment at Central Stadium that needs to be hauled back to the church and put away. If you can help, please meet at Central at 10 AM Saturday morning.

I am so grateful to God for all of you,

Pastor Colin

Canoe Trip

Hello all,

We are looking to plan another canoe trip. It will be on Saturday, May 31. It will be about $50 for each canoe. We will get all the details worked out once we know who is coming. Please let Brent know if you are interested in going. We will make reservations for this so we have to know soon if you plan on coming. You can either email (brentpgriffin1984@gmail.com) or text (812-455-6112).

Pickleball Night

Hello all,

As you probably heard, we are having another pickleball night this Sunday at 5:00. We are excited about it and hope you can make it.

Of course, we are eating dinner. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. We are asking those whose last name begins with A-M to bring a side; if your last name begins with N-Z please bring a dessert.

A few things you may want to bring:
1. Pickleball paddles
2. Drinks for your family
3. Chairs to sit outside to watch me whiff at the pickle ball.
4. Any other games you might like to play.

Mother’s Day Service

Hello all,

We are looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday for Mother’s Day. We did want to let you know that we will have a special Photo Booth set up so wear your Sunday best and plan on smiling pretty for your mom, wife, or other special woman in your life. We look forward to worshipping our Lord and celebrating mothers this Sunday.

Sunday School

Hello,

This is just a reminder that Sunday School is starting again this Sunday at 9:00 am. We will have it again next Sunday, May 4th, and then will be taking off a few months for the summer.

We hope to see you at 9:00 am for Sunday School and for our service at 10:00 am.

Easter Breakfast

Hello Church Family,

We wanted to remind you about the Easter breakfast tomorrow morning at 9:00 am. Our service will begin at the normal time of 10:00 am. We are excited to worship our risen Savior tomorrow with you. Hope to see you at 9:00 am.

Door Hangers (Trying this again)

Hello again,

As you all know, we planned on doing the door hangers last Sunday but we got rained out (maybe flooded out is more accurate.) Instead, we are doing it this Sunday. The plan is still the same: we will gather after church, eat pizza, assign everyone neighborhoods, and then we will go out and hang door hangers on door knobs. We should be done about 1:30 or so.

As we have already said, this is a great way to advertise for Runner’s Camp. We always get a bump in registrations after we do the door hangers. We are looking forward to it and hope you make time to join us.

Runner’s Camp Door Hangers

Hey all,

This is just a reminder that we are planning to do the door hangers for Runner’s Camp after church this Sunday. The plan is to meet after church, eat pizza, get assigned a neighborhood, and then canvass the area with door hangers. I would assume we’d be done by 1:30 or so.

There is a decent chance of rain on Sunday afternoon (I know that’s a surprise based on the last couple of days) and there is a possibility we will have to postpone. We will let you know the plans at church on Sunday.

The Potter’s Have Babies (Part 2)

Hello again,

We recently shared the news about Colton and Taylor Potter fostering twin boys. We sent out a link to the meal train (click here if you would like to sign up for that).

We are now sending out a link to their Amazon gift registry. As you can imagine, they need quite a bit of stuff and had very little time to get what they need. You can check out the registry by clicking on this link. If you want to buy an item on this list from somewhere other than Amazon, please let Brent know and we can remove it from this registry.

The boys are excited to meet everyone at church on Sunday!! We hope to see you then.
