Dear Family,
Information on how to register for our Walk Thru the Bible live event on August 13 is now available on our website home page. Please take a look and register your family as soon as possible so we can get a better estimate on materials needed for the day. Also please invite friends and pass the word along via social media to get the word out. Of all the study I have done on the Old Testament, Walk Thru the Bible has provided me with the most useful overview of God's story revealed in the the Old Testament. You and your children will not regret attending.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Colin
Dear Family,
Please join us at 9:30 AM this Sunday for a continental breakfast, fellowship and a time to encourage our missionary families. This is an all family event—we will sign cards for our missionaries and pray for them. The children will be included in encouraging these families, so bring them too!
Pastor Colin
Dear Ladies,
Please Mark your calendar for some upcoming Women Ministry Events:
Friday, July 21-Saturday July 22: Beth Moore, Living Proof Live at the Ford Center
Tickets are still available at the Vineyard for this event. We are very fortunate to have Beth come to speak in the Tri-State . She travels the country putting on these events. Join for both dates or come to just one of them. You will be encouraged as she speaks to us from the Bible. For more information visit: lifeway.com/livingproof. We would love to sit together if possible. Sarah Aiton will get seats in section 121 so we can sit together since we don’t have reserved seats. Let’s gather at GDRitzy on the east side after the Friday session to share what you learned that evening. Come join us for whatever works in your calendar! Please let Sarah Aiton know if we should expect to see you in Section 121 or at GD Ritzy. Sarah can be reached at 812-499-5131 or sjaiton@wowway.com.
Wednesday, July 26, 7pm at FBC: Movie Night
Bring your comfy lawn chair or use a church chair to sit in as we watch the inspiring movie, War Room. Feel free to bring a friend. We will have refreshing fruit smoothies for you to enjoy along with your normal movie treats! (RSVP by Monday, July 24th to help us plan our snacks, but if your plans change at the last minute come join us! ) RSVP or questions to Sarah Aiton at sjaiton@wowway.com

Dear Family,
We have begun receiving camper and volunteer registrations for the Runner’s Camp. I think the response has been positive when I consider the following: 1) Every place we have distributed print materials advertising the camp has produced registrations. 2) Nearly all of our camper registrations (now in double digits) have been from people outside Family Bible Church. Which means 3) our own church families still need to register, which will boost our enrollment. On the whole, people seem genuinely curious and interested when I have handed them a card about Runner’s Camp.
There is an enormous amount of work yet to be done, and preparations are beginning to fall into place, but job 1 for us right now is advertising. Here are some specific ways that everyone can help with this:
Above all, please pray that people will sign up to join us at the first ever Runner’s Camp in Evansville. I know some of you are not the slightest bit interested in running, but this is going to be fun. The kids will love it and we get to share the gospel of Jesus Christ along the way. The very first lady I handed a card to immediately signed her kids up on her phone.
See you tomorrow,
Pastor Colin
Dear Family,
This Sunday, 5/21, we will enjoy a continental breakfast together at 9:30 before beginning to get organized to serve at the Runner’s Camp, June 19-23. There is something for everyone to do, even if you are not able to be at camp, so please join us. Our service will begin at 10:30 as usual.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Colin
Dear Family,
After about 36 in an airport holding room, our mission team has finally been released to serve the people of Bolivia. God be praised! May he add fruitful ministry to the patience and perseverance he bore in them while detained.
Pastor Colin
The team’s visas were granted at 8:30 this morning. God be praised!
Pastor Colin
Dear Family,
As a reminder, our youth ministry will kick off its summer calendar this weekend. Our middle schoolers will meet at the church for games with our summer intern, John Grimm, Friday night 6-8 PM. High school students will meet John at the 4H Center playground Saturday evening, 6-8 PM for capture the flag. Invite friends!
Also, our Sunday school classes wrapped up our spring program last Sunday, so take your time this Sunday and cook breakfast for your mom before coming to worship at 10:30. From time to time we will use the 9:30 hour before church for various purposes, but our Sunday school classes will take a break until mid-August.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Colin
As a reminder, tomorrow morning we will not have Sunday school but we will have a Palm Sunday devotional and continental breakfast at 9:30 followed by our worship service at 10:30.
See you tomorrow,
Pastor Colin
