Reminder again that Family Bible Church is hosting Evangelism Explosion Evansville on Saturday the 27th. The event is from 8:30am-4pm. Feel free to get to church a little early. The full schedule can be viewed here. If you plan on coming but did not register please contact us ASAP! Join us in praying for the event. This is a great opportunity for our families to be trained in sharing the Gospel with our community. Just about every day we interact with lost people who are on the road to destruction. Let’s get equipped to share the message of Christ with them!

This weekend is the last weekend to sign up to participate in Evangelism Explosion at FBC next Saturday (Oct 27). A quick correction to what families need to bring to the bonfire/barn dance….

Bring your own drinks and chairs and also if your last name is A-L bring a side and M-Z bring a dessert.

Last reminder!

Keith and Lorelei Findley are opening their home (6088 Schultz Rd. Elberfeld) for our Fall bonfire and first ever barn dance. Come at 5 ready to eat and we’ll dance from 6-7 or so. Feel free to hang out by the fire with others if you are not a dancer. The only things families need to bring are drinks and chairs. If you have any questions, contact us on the website. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Reminder that there is no Sunday school this upcoming Sunday. Instead, we will have an all church breakfast at 9:30 before the service. You do not need to bring anything. Just come and eat!

It is officially Fall!

We will eat, dance, and hang out by the fire at the house of Keith and Lorelei Findley (6088 Schultz Rd. Elberfeld) on October 13th. If you are not a dancer, still come! There will be people doing other things during the dancing time.

Here is a rough schedule: Eat 5:00-6:00, dance 6:00-7:00, hang out after. The schedule is by no means a “set” schedule. People are free to come and go as they please.

Bring your own drinks and chairs. If your last name starts A-L, bring a side and M-Z bring a dessert. The church will take care of the other food. Feel free to bring any yard games or balls to play with. This is an awesome opportunity to invite others to a fun FBC event. 

And most importantly……dress for the occasion. No one has to, but we encourage you to have fun with your outfits! I plan to wear something similar to what I am wearing in the picture from a previous barn dance.

Just the facts ladies!

What:    October Women’s Ministry Event—Service Project at Ronald McDonald House with dinner to follow at Hacienda
Where:    Ronald McDonald House 3540 Washington Ave;  Hacienda at Green River Rd and Washington
When:    Thursday, October 18th 4:00pm

~ We will prepare and serve a meal to the families staying at the RMH.  RMH keeps families of critically ill children together while their child is being cared for at any local medical facility.
~ We will meet at 4:00 pm to prepare and cook the meal.  Dinner should be ready to serve at 6:00 pm.
~ Afterward, we will head to Hacienda for our meal and fellowship.  Even if you can’t join us for the service project, join us for dinner at Hacienda. Meet there by 6:30pm.
~ There will be a sign up at church for ingredients needed for meal, salad,  dessert, and drinks as well as a place to sign up for preparation and Hacienda

We are nearly a month away from an exciting event we get to host. Evangelism Explosion will be a day event in which we are trained in then practice sharing the Gospel with people around town. It will be held at Family Bible Church on October 27 from 8:30am-4:00pm. Ladies,

Pick up your copy of Family Bible Church’s Fall Calendar at church and make plans to join us for our monthly events.  We will be spending time together in a variety of activities over the coming months from making a craft, spending time in prayer, serving in the community, to sharing a meal together.  We have a little bit of everything planned and hope you can join us!

Our September event will be held on Wednesday the 26th at 6 pm at Family Bible Church.

Join us as we learn how to make hypertufa flower pots.  These are a rustic, textured, lightweight pot made from cement, vermiculite and water.  We will have mums to add. The evening will also include some time in prayer for our church and community.

Sunday School for the fall begins tomorrow morning! All ages are welcome. There will be a Kindergarten-2nd grade, 3-8th grade, high school, and adults class. We will begin at 9:30 and the worship service will be at 10:30 as usual. Hope to see you there.
