FBC Christmas Party

What do Caroling, Cookies, and Cackling have in common?  They’re all a part of the Annual FBC Christmas Party.  On Sunday Dec 16th, bring your whole family and enjoy some fellowship as we sing Christmas Carols, eat pizza, and enjoy some family games.
Arrive at FBC church at 4pm.  We will travel to North River Health Campus together for caroling then venture back to FBC for Pizza and games around 5pm.
Please bring your own drinks and a desert to share.
See you there,
Matt Lovell

Women’s Ministry is helping with the FBC Family Caroling Event on Sunday, December 16th.

We need volunteers to bring pre-baked, cut out, ready-to-decorate sugar cookies for that day.  Maybe sugar cookies isn’t your best recipe, then volunteer to bring another type that evening!  Each woman volunteering is asked to bring 2 dozen cookies.  Cookies can be dropped off the morning of Sunday, December 16th in the kitchen, or brought that evening prior to the caroling event.  Please sign up this coming Sunday morning, or contact Paula Runyon or Sarah Aiton.
Thank you!

Youth group this Sunday

We have youth group scheduled this Sunday, and we are having a fun night! A few guys built a firepit this week so we’ll hopefully be putting it to good use. We’ve got the basketball goal and other games to play, so it should be a fun night. It will be middle and high school together at 4 o’clock. If it looks like it’ll rain, I’ll announce the change to the plan at church on Sunday. We would probably meet at my parents’ (Dan and Ellen Grimm). Hopefully everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Correction to the upcoming women’s dinner

There was an announcement this past Sunday concerning the women’s dinner next Wednesday night (11/28) at 6:30 pm….There is a correction! It will be at McAlister’s Deli on the East side of Evansville. Not Jason’s Deli.

This is just a time for the ladies to connect with each other, so come for dinner, come for dessert, or stop by for a drink before you hit the stores for some Christmas shopping!

This will be a casual come-and-go event, and a great time to invite a friend too. See Sarah Aiton or Deanna Moseby if you have any questions.

FBC Directory Coming Soon

It’s been a long time comin’….We have been asked to come up with a church directory by several people, and we are finishing the process. The directory will include basic contact information for members and regular attenders. If for any reason you are a member or regular attender and do not want to be on the directory or would like an element of your personal information (phone number, email address, street address, kids’ names) withheld, please Contact Us. The directory will not be published online. It will only be printed and available at the church. The plan is to have the directory handed out at church this upcoming Sunday. We are thrilled to finally offer this and hope it is of great help to everyone!

Youth Group Sunday Postponed!

With a few of our students being involved with the Chrysalis formation this weekend, youth group scheduled for Sunday will be postponed to the following Sunday (11/18). Let’s be praying for all the students, especially for our own Joel Kerr who is going through the weekend and also Jack Robards and Isaiah Johann who are serving in the kitchen.

Operation Christmas Child

Dear Family,

Join us this Sunday morning, November 11th, at 9:30 for breakfast and to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.  You can bring your shoebox already packed with items or bring your items to church and use one of the pre-purchased boxes.  For specific information on what items to purchase visit samaritanspurse.org.  You also need to include a donation of $9 to cover shipping costs or give online through Follow Your Box.

There will be Christmas music, breakfast food, notecards and someone to take your picture while we prepare the boxes and pray for the children who will receive them.  Every shoebox gift is a tangible expression of God’s love that brings joy and the Good News to a child in need.  See you this Sunday at 9:30 for packing and 10:30 for our service time!
