ntLive & Sunday School

Dear family,

For those of you who have registered to participate in the ntLive event this Sunday, we will be serving lunch immediately following our worship service. The main course (fried holy bird) and tableware will be provided. If families beginning A-M could bring a dessert and families N-Z two side dishes we should have plenty to eat. Everyone bring their own drinks.

If you have not registered already please do so ASAP for lunch order purposes. You can Sign up by clicking on the link and sending a message in the “Contact Us” form saying who is attending. Childcare will be provided.

There will be no Sunday School this Sunday or the following one. Still show up at 9:30 on the following Sunday, though, as we will stuff Operation Christmas Child boxes and eat breakfast together.

See you Sunday!

Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. As elders, we wanted to remind everyone to please lift Colin and John up in your prayers this month in particular. Over the next two Sundays (10/27 & 11/3), we will have a basket out at church for anyone to place cards of thanks to Colin and John. The Lord has blessed the body of believers at Family Bible Church with two pastors who love the Lord with all their heart, mind, and spirit. Let us thank God together for these Godly men and their leadership.

Bonfire & Barn Dance

Put on your flannel shirt and a pair of boots because we’ve got a bonfire and barn dance this Saturday evening! The bonfire starts at 5 and dancing at 6. We will be at the Findley’s barn (6088 Schultz Rd Elberfeld, IN 47613).

A handful of families are bringing chili to share. In addition to that, families last names A-M can bring a side and N-Z a dessert. Bring your own drinks and chairs to sit in as well.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. See you soon!

Walk Thru the Bible ntLIVE coming November 10

We are excited for a special event coming this Fall! A few years ago, we hosted Walk Thru the Old Testament, and we learned the entire story of the Old Testament through hand motions and stories. Now, we will continue the hand motions to help us learn and remember the New Testament. Click on the image below for more information about the event.

Step into the story…

Many Christians know stories about Jesus and are familiar with many of the events and people surrounding his life and ministry. But they are unfamiliar with the grand story into which all those individual stories fit: God uniquely prepared an unlikely, ragtag group—a political activist, some fishermen, and even a tax collector—to take the message of Jesus to all people. Walk Thru the Bible’s ntLIVE event will help you step into the story, learn the story and equip you to effectively share it with others. By the end of this powerful interactive live event, you will learn 40 key people, places and events of the New Testament—without taking a single note. And you will have fun doing it!

Sunday, November 10, 9:30 AM—3:30 PM.
The first session of the ntLIVE event will take place during our Sunday morning church service. Then lunch will be provided at the church, after which we will continue our instruction which will wrap up by 3:30.

Cost: $10 per person, $50 maximum cost per family. Registration fee can be paid at Family Bible Church at any Sunday service prior to the event, or on November 10. All participants will receive a guidebook. Children elementary age and up are encouraged to participate.

How to register: Let us know you are coming (and how many in your party) on our contact us page in the “prayer request or other message” box. Childcare will be provided for kids under elementary age. Please let us know your childcare needs as well.

Cornhole tournament

The cornhole tournament is tonight at 6. We will have food and tables set up inside (bring your own drinks), but the cornhole is going down outside. Please dress accordingly!

See you tonight,

John
