Spring Church Calendar

Here is the FBC Spring calendar:

fbc spring calendar

There will be printed copies at church this upcoming Sunday. Just wanted to give people the opportunity to save it electronically as well. The dates for the summer middle and high school retreats are not absolutely set in stone. If you would like to go and have a scheduling conflict, contact John Grimm (John.grimm2@gmail.com) ASAP. We are hoping to get those dates finalized, because there are a lot of different summer plans across the families.

Have a great week!

FBC’s Women’s Ministry Event for January…..but needs your attention now!

We will be going to a comedy show by Jeanne Robertson on

Saturday, January 19 @ 6pm

At the Victory Theatre

Cost of tickets will be $29; payable to me after I purchase them.

I am sorry for the short notice, but we need to buy them this week in order to secure seats together.

Please contact me by this Wednesday night, December 19th if you want to have a ticket purchased for you. I will buy the tickets on Thursday morning.

Jeanne is a great storyteller who turns everyday events into comedy. She is very engaging, and people find her hilarious. We watched a clip of her last

winter at one of our Women’s events. You can find videos of her on YouTube. In fact, watch “Don’t send your husband to the grocery store” and “What

part of the south are you from?” to get an idea of her humor.

Gentlemen, this could be a great last minute Christmas item for your wife or mom! I can keep a secret too!

Hope you can join us….and yes, friends are welcome also!

FBC Christmas Party

What do Caroling, Cookies, and Cackling have in common?  They’re all a part of the Annual FBC Christmas Party.  On Sunday Dec 16th, bring your whole family and enjoy some fellowship as we sing Christmas Carols, eat pizza, and enjoy some family games.
Arrive at FBC church at 4pm.  We will travel to North River Health Campus together for caroling then venture back to FBC for Pizza and games around 5pm.
Please bring your own drinks and a desert to share.
See you there,
Matt Lovell

Women’s Ministry is helping with the FBC Family Caroling Event on Sunday, December 16th.

We need volunteers to bring pre-baked, cut out, ready-to-decorate sugar cookies for that day.  Maybe sugar cookies isn’t your best recipe, then volunteer to bring another type that evening!  Each woman volunteering is asked to bring 2 dozen cookies.  Cookies can be dropped off the morning of Sunday, December 16th in the kitchen, or brought that evening prior to the caroling event.  Please sign up this coming Sunday morning, or contact Paula Runyon or Sarah Aiton.
Thank you!

Youth group this Sunday

We have youth group scheduled this Sunday, and we are having a fun night! A few guys built a firepit this week so we’ll hopefully be putting it to good use. We’ve got the basketball goal and other games to play, so it should be a fun night. It will be middle and high school together at 4 o’clock. If it looks like it’ll rain, I’ll announce the change to the plan at church on Sunday. We would probably meet at my parents’ (Dan and Ellen Grimm). Hopefully everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
