Dear Family,

I am writing to remind you of our annual members business meeting at Family Bible Church this Sunday, November 20, immediately following our worship service. All members over 18 are encouraged to attend in order to establish a quorum needed to conduct business. We will be presenting our annual budget for your approval and hearing a few brief reports on the state of our ministry and building project. In addition, our elders will present Jim McDonald for your approval as a candidate for our team of elders. Jim served on our original team of elders for six years and has graciously agreed to stand for re-election. Martin Brown is rotating off our elder team after faithfully serving our church for two consecutive three year terms. Please thank Martin for his faithful and steady guidance and prayers on our behalf. I hope you will join us to consider these important matters.

The women’s ministry is excited to announce a women’s Christmas breakfast on December 3. Check out this flyer for all relevant information.

Come join Family Bible Church for an evening of fun and fellowship on Sunday, Nov 13th for our annual Cornhole Tournament.

Pizza will be served at 5:30 and the Tournament will start shortly after.
Please text your 2 person Cornhole team to Matt Lovell @ 812.598.9964. There will also be a sign-up sheet at church as well. We ask that every family bring their own drinks and a dessert to share.

We will also have boxes for Operation Christmas Child ready to be filled if anyone would like to bring items and stuff boxes on the evening of the cornhole tournament. The church will take care of delivering those boxes.

Get your dancing boots ready, folks. On October 16th we will have a barn dance at the church. You can look forward to dinner, square dancing, s’mores and hot dogs around the fire, and hopefully a hay ride.

We will start eating at 5 and dance at 6. There will be chili, hot dogs, and s’mores provided. Everyone should bring a side or dessert to share as well as their own drinks and outdoor chairs if you’d like to sit by the fire.

Feel free to bring friends to join the fun!

Don’t forget! We’ll have an all church worship and fellowship night this coming Sunday (9/25). Come at 4:30pm for singing and outdoor activities. River City Dawgs will be set up ready to serve food at 5.

Bring your own sides, drinks, and chairs. FBC will cover the cost for hot dogs. You can purchase chips and drinks with cash.

The beginning of the women’s Bible study is fast approaching. Here is all the information for it.

The women’s ministry will host a charcuterie class on Sunday, 9/18 from 4-5:30pm at the church.

The event costs $25 per board and requires a reservation by the end of the day, Monday, September 12.

You can sign up at the church or text your reservation to Sarah Aiton (812-499-5131) or Brenda Kerr (812-453-9515).

Payment will be due that day; cash or check payable to Sarah Aiton.

Women college age and up are welcome!

A series of upcoming events were announced at church this past Sunday. Here is the list of those events:

• Home fellowship groups start next week. You can sign up for a group on Sunday if you are interested and have not yet joined one.
• Sunday school resumes this coming Sunday, 9/11 at 9:30am.
• GATHER Network will offer a dinner at 6pm at the church building on Wednesday, 9/14 to discuss mission work and global nutritional security. Pastor Colin will deliver a short message. Anyone interested should RSVP to Ginna.Grimm@gmail.com.
• The Women’s Ministry will host a charcuterie class on Sunday, 9/18. More info will come in a separate post this week.
• The Women’s Ministry will also offer a weekly Wednesday night Bible study beginning 9/28.

Below are the dates of a few all-church events this Fall:

• September 25 – Worship & Fellowship Night (River City Dawgs coming again)
• October 16 – Barn Dance
• November 13 – Cornhole Tournament

Sunday 9/18/2022

4-5:30pm at Family Bible Church

Come enjoy an afternoon learning different techniques of the snack board trend many are talking about!  Charcuterie boards aren’t just about meat and cheese anymore. 

The event will involve learning several techniques for charcuterie board display from the owner of Agape Graze and creating your own 6 x 6 board for 1-2 people, and a brief time of fellowship at the end. 

This event cost is $25/per board and does require a reservation by the end of the day, Monday September 12^th.
