Sunday lunch with a catch…

Dear Family,

This Sunday, the 15th, we are offering pizza for your help in getting the word out for Runner’s Camp.  We have flyers in the form of door-hangers to distribute around town and would love to do it together. We will meet right after the service for pizza and then get into teams to hand out flyers.  Please join us in sharing Runner’s Camp with your neighborhood and our community!

Women’s Ministry Event April 25th

Dear family,

The women of Family Bible Church are getting together on Wednesday, April 25th to volunteer at North River Health Campus and share a “pitch in” salad bar at the church afterwards. You are welcome to come for either or both of these events.

The evening will start at 5:30 pm at Family Bible Church, and then the group will head over to North River where they will spruce up North River’s flower beds and get their containers ready for flower planting. (Bring garden gloves, kneeling pads, small trowel).

At 6:45, the group will head back to the church for the salad bar.  Everyone should bring any item(s) you enjoy on top of a salad.  Lettuce and drinks will be provided.

Hope you will consider joining the ladies for a fun evening!

Mission Trip this July

Dear family,

Family Bible Church is partnering with Samaritan’s Purse to aid in the reconstruction of homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey in August of last year.

unnamed (1).jpg

We hope to send 12 people and would like to know who is interested.  If that is you, here are some things you need to know:

1. We are scheduled to arrive on Sunday, July 1st at 7:00 PM, and depart on Friday, July 6th at 5:00 PM

2. Samaritan’s Purse asks that we send volunteers that are at least 14-years-old.  They also ask that parents attend with any adolescent aged 14-17.

3. We would like to have a balanced mix of both genders as well as adults and adolescents on this trip.  We are somewhat flexible on this and will be functioning on a first come, first serve basis for the most part.  So let us know soon.

4. If you are a planner like me, you can find out about details of the trip, including schedules, packing lists, information about the work site and more here: Trip Info.

Let us know if you would like to be a part of this team in the Contact Us page of our website.  Please indicate your interest in the “Prayer request or other message” box.

We hope you will consider serving the Lord and the people of Texas on this team!

All church family lunch this Sunday

Dear Family,

This Sunday, we will be serving lunch immediately following our worship service.  The main course (fried holy bird) and tableware will be provided. If families with last names beginning with A-M will bring a dessert and a side dish and families beginning with N-Z will bring two side dishes we should have plenty to eat. Also if each family could provide their own drinks that would be helpful.  See you this Sunday!

Please forward to friends and family!

Dear Parents,

If you would like to find a way for your kids to get some exercise this summer and have fun while doing it, then check out The Runner’s Camp.

The Runner’s Camp is a one week evening camp sponsored by Family Bible Church teaching the sport of track and field to kids ages 6-12. Each evening begins with a gospel-centered devotion time followed by age/gender group instruction in 8 different track and field events mixed with fun games. The camp culminates with a track and field meet in which each child competes against their own age group to showcase his or her running, jumping or throwing abilities. Ribbons are awarded to all competitors.

Runner’s Camp Evansville 2018 meets June 4-8 at North High School’s Bundrant Stadium, 5:30-8:00 PM. You can register campers online or sign up to volunteer at runnerscampevansville.com. Please register soon so we can order t-shirts!
