We were recently contacted by Hands of Hope, which is an organization that supports foster families and tries to partner with churches to assist those foster families that need help. Hands of Hope asked us to donate fire extinguishers to them so they can give them to those who need them. Many of you are aware that there are many things people need to do to be licensed foster parents and one of those things is having a fire extinguisher, maybe even several of them. That can certainly get expensive, which is where we come in.
I have done some research and have a couple options of ones that you can buy. Click here for a single fire extinguisher or you can click here for a 2 pack. Feel free to shop around but there is a specific kind that they need and they are a “2.5 lb ABC fire extinguisher.” Please bring them to the church by August 23 and we will deliver them to Hands of Hope.
There are many in our church who know the blessing and challenge of being foster parents so feel free to ask any of them what an encouragement it can be to be supported in this way.
