The FBC Youth Group Planning Committee met last week and through prayer and discussion, we are excited to announce that we not only have a Purpose Statement, but also have some dates on the calendar for upcoming events!
First, our Purpose Statement: “FBC youth ministry exists to glorify God by partnering with families to help our youth grow in their faith through the Word of God, prayer, and fellowship.”
Second, our first event will be Sunday, September 15th from 6-7:30pm!
We plan on meeting every other Sunday with high school and middle school students meeting separately.
Also, we hope to have parents involved in the ministry just as much as our teenagers. We will be having a much encouraged parent meeting after church on September 8th, so please mark your calendars for that as well!
In the meantime, please pray for our youth, that the Lord would endear them to Himself and to one another. Pray for the kind of relationships between our young people and our church body that are not only life long, but transforming because of Christ’s work in the midst of them!
